Summer Begins

So AGAIN, it's been a long time since I wrote last. Nathan took the girls to a movie today so I had a bit of free time and decided to catch up. The school year ended the last week of May. The first week of June seems like so long ago. For a bit we thought Nathan was going to be staying at home with us, jobless for the summer, but that changed on that Sunday. So our weeks are filled. Here's our normal week:

Monday - I lead music rehearsals at the school for our Fall performance of "Into the Woods JR". Nate watches August and the girls go to school for the morning.

Tuesday - Nate works. I lead a Women's Bible Study.

Wednesday - Nate is off and this is our family day. We do fun things around the house or out.

Thursday - Nathan works. The girls and I have a normal day.

Friday - Nathan works the morning and I lead another music rehearsal. Maddy and Emma go to school and great friends watch August. Maddy's class also goes on field trips on Fridays.

The girls are loving school. Maddy has had her first time riding a school bus, and she was so excited. Emma just loves the opportunity to go to school. She has finally learned to jump. August is rolling all over the place, sleeping on his belly and sitting up without support - most of the time. The bible study has been fantastic. After two years of leading studies at another church I have loved having the opportunity to lead one with ladies that go to mine. We are studying the book "Ezer: Biblical Femininity", which I would highly recommend to EVERY WOMAN!

Nate is doing landscaping. He loves the manual labor but is completely exhausted after a 9 hour day.

The musical is slowly coming together. Last year, the music was simple and catchy but this musical is very challenging. The kids always memorize the stuff way before we start rehearsals so they will probably be fine. I will have to pick up my conducting skills a bot so I can handle the time changes and crazy rhythms. Since I did the musical last year, I ahev learned from mistakes and am able to better prepare for this one.

This is a picture from our first Monday of summer. We took the kids to the children's museum and

headed to Falls Park for a picnic.

These girls love their brother!

August didn't feel like socializing at the park :-) so he to decided to nap.

These pools have kept us cool. The white one was from my brother and sister in law last year and the pink one is from our neighbors. Heir dogs had puppies and once the puppies knew how to escape the pool was pretty useless. They love to give us gifts and we appreciate them!

August and I enjoying pool time.
