Nathan's uncle got married the first full weekend in June so we headed out on Thursday evening to Maryland with Nathan's dad (Poppop). Before I met Nathan, I had never traveled outside of SC, TN, VA, WV and NC. Since I have been with Nathan, I have gone on two road trips to TX, one road trip to Canada, lived in China, and a few road trips to Maryland. Anyway, we got in the car around bedtime, kids in PJs and headed out. Maddy was saying, "Slumber party!" She was excited. The kids did great. They slept in the car pretty much the whole time. We arrived on Friday morning at 5 am.
August got to meet hiss Grandmom for the first time.
When the tv came on, Emma loved to snuggle with Poppop Jim.
Uncle Darell's wedding was outside by Chesapeake Bay. It was small and quaint at an outside chapel. Emma and Maddy loved moving back and forth between people and always ended up with Poppop, Grnadmom or Poppop Jim.
It's so nice when they get along. They can fight like crazy and be best friends too.

On the way home we stopped at Cracker Barrel for breakfast.
Seeing Uncle Jesse again.
