Joys of New Things

New things are happening all around these little ones.
August sucking on his bottoms lip

August eating his first solid food - rice cereal. He did so well. There was no gagging or spitting out. He was so happy to eat. He's been glaring at us as we eat for awhile.

Emma has been interested in sitting on the potty and Maddy has finally learned to poop in the potty. Maddy is officially potty trained! To help motivate them and avoid the girls getting tons of candy in the process I developed a "Potty Dollar" system. Every time Maddy poops and wakes up from nap without pooping in underwear, she gets a potty dollar. Every time Emma sits on the potty and washes her hands or actually pees in e potty, she gets a potty dollar. The big reward is if they get 7 potty dollars each they get ice cream. Half of their dollars they trade in for one jelly bean or one m&m so this is a big accomplishment. Here we are at the Ice Cream Station enjoying the reward.

One of Nathan's students gave this to August. He is almost 6 months old and already in 6-9 month clothing. He's definitely the biggest Forrest baby.
