Jetlag be gone

So it finally happened.  On Monday we headed to visit our good friends the Thompsons in Greenville.  We dropped off Maddy and she played with her good friend James while we began the search for a house.  Every year when we return from China we always stay with the Thompsons so now that we looking for a place to settle they are more than willing to help.  We were SO grateful for them occupying Madeline.  Before we arrived we warned them about the pain that jet lag brings so we put the kids in separate rooms and we, the parents, made beds in the sitting room and living room.  We went to sleep fully expecting the worst.  And then it happened...

The kids actually slept!  Maddy didn't shed one tear and we woke up to our alarm going off at 6.  It took 5 days of screaming, tantrums, kicking, discipline, etc. but it finally happened.  So far, we have had successful sleeps since then.  We are SO grateful!  I feel like such a new person from getting that uninterrupted rest.  I was actually able to take a nap today and not feel super groggy afterwards.

On the house front, we have found two we like and are currently waiting on a counter offer from the one we proceeded with.  So far they aren't wanting to budge in price so it may fall through.  We are making progress but there have been many things that have come up that threaten to prolong this process and possibly delay it into the school year so please lift us up.

Today has been a restful day.  We had no plans, other than Maddy's neurological visit.  The doctor isn't too worried about her and has ordered an EEG for Tuesday to see if there is anything of concern.  So we should know more later.  It was nice to have a normal day.  Maddy learned to jump today and to count to 3 and Emma is sitting up alone a little more.  Here are some pics from our time in the states so far:

Maddy's pool time.  She love the pool.  She gets more and more brave each time she gets in.

James also making time to play peek-a-boo with Emma.  He's gonna be a great big brother.
