#51 - I am grateful for the closeness of students and teachers and the fact that I can have my husband's students to my home and they actually enjoy hanging out with us.
#52 - I am grateful for holidays like Women's Day and Children's Day that China has to acknowledge the value of family.
#53 - I am grateful for new play equipment in the park along the river. They now have swings!
#54 - I am grateful for today's mom's group. Both the company and the food was great!
#55 - I am grateful for the variety of fruits I can get here that I know will be non-existent or too expensive in the US.
#56 - I will miss lights in the stairwell that are turned on by the stomping of my foot.
#57 - I am grateful for the generosity of the nationals. I hope I never again complain about how people who move to America need to learn the language faster. After living as the minority for so long I now understand how hard and frustrating it is to live in a culture where you don't understand what is going on half the time. Those of you who read this, please be considerate next time you think someone is a moron for not learning English asap. It's hard! I've studied Chinese constantly for 4 years and I am still nowhere near to being fluent.
#58 - I am grateful for a community of people (specifically ladies and moms) that I can call when I don't want to go somewhere alone.
#59 - I am grateful for the new subway we have that allows you to get to close places quicker. I am so glad I got to see it all beautiful before it gets messy.
#60 - I am actually grateful for times when my hubby goes away on Fall and Spring Trips and I have some quiet all to myself. It is hard but it is also nice to have some quiet in my evenings to catch up on so many things.
