Harbin, a city north of us, is known for its ice sculptures. We have always partly wanted to go there but since the winter here is super cold we know that there would be even worse. So this year when we saw a mini-ice village being created in our town we made notes to go visit. Last week we went and took Maddy and enjoyed the beautiful sites. It always amazes me what China can do as a categorized "non-developed country". They accomplish things we do in the states but with less glorious supplies or equipment. This is definitely one of those. Because of the cold we didn't stay out too long but we got some good pics and Maddy was able to go down the slide with Daddy twice. I didn't because of baby so Nathan got one slide himself. It isn't Harbin but it was a great "next best" especially for a very pregnant Mommy and toddler who hates the cold!
