39 weeks

So these days I am feeling HUGE! I am so sorry for all those women who go really late in the full term or possibly overdue. I am at 39 weeks today and I am ready for this little one to come out NOW! I am trying to be patient and keep in mind that she will come in the perfect time but it's getting tough. This pregnancy has been the total opposite of Maddy -
With Maddy -
no morning sickness
no sleeping problems
easy
energetic
early

With Baby #2 -
morning sickness
feel nauseous every time I move at night
gestational diabetes
aches and pains are norm
looks like possibly induced at 39 weeks and 6 days

I even joke with people that she could come out a he and I would not be the least bit surprised at this point. It looks like we will be scheduling an induction for Monday, Jan. 16, which is my best friend, Katie's, birthday. I go for an ultrasound tomorrow just to check on how big the baby is exactly and to be sure the gestational diabetes hasn't cause her to have wide shoulders which could mean a c-section. Right now on the bishop scale (the scale to see the effectiveness of induction) I am a 7 (7 or above is favorable for induction) so my chances of needed a c-section once induction starts went from 4 % to 0.9% - which are good odds. I am trying to enjoy the days we have with just Maddy so far. I have loved having Nathan home and we are doing this great alternating schedule of getting up early and sleeping in which has allowed me many days of not getting out of bed till 8 or 8:30. I have also loved my guaranteed naps every day of at least an hour. We're hanging in there :-)
