Shopping for Baby

Today I went shopping with Lauren Evans and Amber Jones (teachers on our team) to buy a baby wrap for our new little one. Amber bought one for the little guy she's looking after now and I bought one too. It was hard especially when I realized that this was for my very first baby (YAY!) but I finally found something. Pictures to come. And then I was late to meet my husband...I'm really bad at that.

We went to eat lunch at SPR (which is not its real name anymore but thought its name changed I am told the food did not so we still called it SPR) and we had some nice cheat pasta. Then we headed to the Expo center to look for baby stuff. Then off we went to this baby store that I visited with Christa and Kiera a few months back and bought the stroller I really loved, for half the price. YAY for me! Then the ladies (3 of them) followed me around showing me other equipment. I bought a few other things, one being some bottles on sale, and then we returned home. It was a very eventful day and I am super excited.

So here is our stash so far:
Back: bottles, baby lotions (Jesse and his girlfriend got us for Christmas), diaper bag (Nate bought me for Christmas, bag that came with stroller
Front: $1 t-shirt I bought at Target, baby fingernail clippers (had no idea you used scissors!), towels (Nathan's idea), baby book (Heather and Jon got us this for Christmas and it was found at a thrift store. The book has one date written in it from 1971. The pictures are hilarious!), bottle brush, teething toy (Christmas present), vibrating ball (also Christmas present).

The stroller we bought. It folds up like this and can be carried on your back via a strap. It is very light (or so my husband says).

Side view of said stroller.

Front view. It has all these cool odds and ends like you can recline the seat, take off the front bar, take off the canopy, see the baby through a window in the canopy, hold a bottle in the cup holder, use crotch and shoulder belts. I really love it. When it is fastened up you just have to hit the switch and shake the stroller and it will expand. To compact it you push in and then turn the handle bar in. It's great. I've only had it like 1 hour and have read the manual and practiced everything. I am a nerd. And I have a picture to prove it:

In my defense, I have wanted a baby for at least one year and have had an amazing pregnancy with very minimal difficulties. I know things could very easily change in 3rd trimester but so far I have loved being pregnant. I have no complaints! I even love getting bigger...

Last thing...
Here are some books I bought from my school's scholastic order. They came really cheap for a pack of 15. I think it was like 15 books for $14. They are stories that I read as a child: 3 Pigs, Princess and the Pea, Goldilocks, etc. The last book on the far right is a Christmas book about the 12 days of Christmas but with a doggy twist. It is one of those cardboard thick books especially made for kids. I've even read a few of these books to little baby inside!
