Nathan went out with some guys for a friend's bachelor party and I was getting ready to take the kiddos with me to a friend's to watch an Audrey Hepburn movie when I decided to give the kids a quick bath. I stripped them both down to diapers, took them in the bedroom, placed them in the middle of the bed (where they have sat 100s of times while I get the final touches of bath ready), I picked up Jachin and plopped him in the tub (which I can see from where Maddy was sitting on the bed), and I turned to seeing my daughter fall, head first, off the bed. I grabbed her just as her head hit the floor. I cried so hard! I comforted her, put her in the bath, called Nate, and then looked up what I should do. She was acting normal, giggling and all and no other problems, so she was ok but I was a wreck! It's a good thing we got her professional pics done earlier in the day! Well, she is doing fine now and it actually just looks like a little red spot on her head but you can see it a little better in the pics above. Right after it looked like a blue goose egg, just ask the girls at the Hepburn movie with me, but she was survived and I have learned - no more babies sittin on the bed!

Mae fell off the bed several months ago before Mae could barely move around. I know how you feel!!! And you are NOT a bad mom because of it!
I'm so amazed this is the first time she's had a bump! Lizbeth started rolling off the bed months ago! :-) Just today she tripped (she's just walking now) and banged her head on the window sill about a foot off the ground...she'll have a nasty bruise for that one. You are a great mom!
