All has been pretty silent here which we hope is a good thing :-) We have signed all paperwork and haven't heard anything so we are moving into the packing stage. We get to the key to our new place on April 1st, move on April 9th and close on April 15th. So now we are selling stuff and boxing up stuff.
I have used facebook and craigslist to sell 3 rugs, our dining room table, couch, and some bed frames and most have been "spoken for" but now I'm organizing meetings to finalize the sale.
This weekend we had some great friends from church, who just moved, bring over some boxes and a tape gun so I have packed enough to run out of my current tape supply and am waiting for more tape to arrive (via my amazon prime) to keep packing it up.
Since we are moving and looking and pursuing fostering, I have decided to take on the task of making a farm table and benches for our new house. I thought if I sell my old one and take time to make my new one (to seat 8+ people) then I wouldn't have to move my table twice. A friend from church sparked this desire to make one and I helped her a bit a few weeks back and am looking forward to starting my own this week. My father-in-law is coming to help me cut the wood, I'll paint it over the next week or two and then my friend will come help me assemble it at our new place before we move in.
Every item I sell promises to provide the means to decorate my new home, which makes me so excited. We have started talking about painting and curtains and decorating and I am getting SO eager.
