Life is so busy these days. The girls are keeping me very busy and thankfully keeping each other busy too. These days Nathan is working three days a week, Tuesday through Thursday, so we have a nice long weekend. On Monday and Thursday morning I have rehearsals for "Oliver" (The musical the school is doing and asked me to help with by directing the music.) and the girls go to a summer program at the school. They are loving the new friends they are making. Our days mostly consist of exercising, picking raspberries, watching "Sesame Street", "Wallace and Grommet" or "Shaun the Sheep", then room time. Maddy is a queen for routine so she likes to tell me what's next. We eat lunch and then the girls nap. This pregnant mommy gets a nice nap in too!
Maddy loves to help these days and she loves to be a little momma to Emma. Emma's new phrase is "mine" and Maddy loves to give Emma something, take it and say "mine". Emma is getting very emotional these days. When she doesn't get her way, she finds a place in good sight and lays herself on the floor and throws a fit. She also loves to talk to you and really wants you to listen to everything she says. Oh, did I mention that she LOVES her Daddy? The moment she seems him, she lifts her arms and says "dada" as she runs toward him. When he leaves, she becomes a basket case! She loves books! Maddy loves to have conversations with you. She is just beginning to call herself "I" rather than saying "Maddy". I love the conversations she like to have:
When she wakes up she says, "Good morning, Mommy! Did you sleep?"
She "argues" with me over who loves who more. We have reached an agreement that I love her more and she can love her Daddy more. Daddy disagrees.
At dinner she says "chicken" and points to you to finish the rest by saying "rice" or "noodles".
When we leave church, school, home or the playground she says, "bye bye X"
Baby is doing well. We are about 16 weeks along. I am feeling well and no longer "have" to have a nap but enjoy it when I can. I have been having trouble sleeping so I have tried to shorten my afternoon naps to only an hour so I can sleep better at night. Every week I like to show the girls a picture of how big the baby is that week and they love it. They just giggle! We find out the gender on August 2nd. Maddy told me tonight it was a baby sister. Nate disagrees!
