So Jachin has been with us for a week so far and we are enjoying our new addition. We have wondered lately if he has some autistic tendencies but the doctors have encouraged us to wait and see how he continues to develop. Apparently the symptoms of an autistic child and one who grew up in an orphanage can be very similar. Jachin has started to giggle. He loves baths, pillow fights, and legos being dumped on him. He also loves his daddy's beard! He is starting to get into a routine and is actually sitting still on the couch. He is braving the unknown and has started branching out to use other furniture to stand. I was telling a friend just today that Jachin loves toys the most that I didn't buy for him - our remotes, a box, entertainment center, shoes, floor, etc. He is making eye contact and is also enjoying time with his little sister. Here are some pics of them hanging out. As is typical, I think it is much cooler for Madeline than Jachin. He seems not interested in her but she lights up every time she sees him. It is precious. Today they were both playing on the floor mat and he had rolled up so that he was laying partly on her tummy. She was just smiling and giggling. Oh these two...
