Baby things

So it is Spring Break and I have a list of must buy things for baby. I decided that over break would be a great time to go buy the things so I asked Christa and Kiera, the girls I am in an accountability group with, to go with me to do it so here are the beginnings. My list includes this:
1. Buy car seat - bought and has been mailed to my father-in-law
2. Buy pack-n-play - bought and being sent to my brother to bring when he comes to China
3. Wrap - Ahead on this one. Had one made with Amber J. (don't worry it is a breathable material to avoid SIDS)
4. Baby clothes- I have clothes but I don't have very many newborn or 0-3 months so I needed to buy a few. I ordered a few to be sent to people coming in May and then I bought some yesterday with Christa. Here are the first bit of clothes I have personally bought for my little girl (with money from the baby shower....thanks Lisa and Freda!)

5. Yarn - I know the quilting group is making a quilt but I wanted to hand make a baby blanket. It was originally going to be a simple crochet blanket but after I got the thread I began to make it into a Grandma's Square blanket and I love it. I feel so accomplished. Here it is in process:

The pink is going to be the edging and what ties them together.
6. Drape - I want to get something to use when I am feeding so I am going tomorrow to buy this and make it myself too. I also may buy clothes to put along the ways and make curtains for the baby's room.
7. Wicker Baskets - We have some cute basket sets in some markets around here and I am going to go buy a set for the baby's room...now I just need to decide what I want decorations to be like.

Today was also a fun day because I was able to get up, do yoga, eat breakfast, get dressed, sit around for a bit, and then go for a walk roaming around for cheap strawberries (which I found!). I know my life will be super busy next year with baby but I think I will like the change of pace.
