Every year we have a teachers' conference and this year happened to be the local one for our company so we were able to catch up with people from other schools. We stayed at the Sino Swiss Hotel and had dinner for a few nights at Peter's Tex Mex Grill which is great for that American food fix. This place also delivers so Nate lived off of this while I was in the hospital after Maddy was born.
Maddy fell asleep in the high chair while we were eating dinner (@ Peter's)
Maddy's pack-n-play provided by the hotel
PJ's - with the little animal feet
Maddy had a fever one day so we snuggled in bed
Bibs!!!
Friends!!! - Maddy eating her fingers...
Now Lizzy's turn...They are such good friends already.
Mommys and Babies - This is Ruth Greene and her little girl Lizbeth who was born after Madeline. Ruth and I both have husbands named Nathan and were both going to be in Shenyang but they were moved to Qingdao instead. Now we catch up at events and share mommy stories, oh and I follow her blog! We always joked about having a boy and naming him Greene and them having a boy and naming him Forrest. It's funny how we didn't have boys!!! Maybe there was a reason :-)
After leaving the conference we heading to a hotel closer to the train station and rested a bit before heading to the silk market to buy stuff. Maddy took a nap in this crib and was absolutely exhausted! We then went to the market and got a winter snow suit for Maddy and Nate got me an Abercrombie shirt and sweater for 100 kuai ($15-20). He is a great deal grabber!!! We then headed to Outback to celebrate Nate's 27th birthday.
